LimeCrime Unicorn Lipstick Eraser Review

Hey all and welcome back to another review!  Today's review is obviously a review for LimeCrime's Unicorn lipstick in the shade Eraser.  The Unicorn lipsticks are being discontinued though and are currently $8 USD on the LimeCrime website.  I've heard many mixed reviews of LimeCrime and their background.  I will be doing the opposite of this and just reviewing the product as it is.  The review will be as if the company is new to me.  Let's get started!

When purchasing this lipstick, the experience was simple and easy.  There was no problem with ordering the product.  The main reason why I purchased this was because of the Unicorn Lipstick being discontinued.  Once the lipstick was ordered it took about a week or two for it to arrive.  I was a bit disappointed with how long it did take to ship.  It could have taken as long as it did due to the high number of products they must have been shipping out.

Upon arrival, the product came in a little box with no damage done to it.  As you open the box you're greeted with pink tissue paper and the LimeCrime logo on the inside of the box.  Pushing aside the tissue paper, I was able to find my lipstick.  The lipstick box itself was absolutely adorable.  Then the packaging of the lipstick itself was wicked cute.  There was no factory like smell coming off of any of the packaging which was a pleasant surprise.

The product itself is an amazing vivid color.  It is an amazing coral nude which goes amazing with my pale completion.  I don't know about you guys but I also smell my lipsticks so that is what I did with Eraser.  The smell reminds me of MAC lipsticks which smells like frosting and cake batter.  Again this was a pleasant surprise to me because lipsticks can have not so pleasant smells to them.  Though it smells delicious, I wouldn't recommend tasting it.  If you get some of the lipstick on your teeth, don't lick your teeth to clean them.  What I do is either take a cotton swab or a tissue to wipe the lipstick off my teeth.

When applied to the lips, make sure to use lip balm.  I found that this lipstick can dry out your lips which no one likes.  The effect wasn't the same as advertised on LimeCrime's site or other social medias.  On their swatch pictures of Eraser, it appears that Eraser has a moisturizing  effect which allows the lipstick to have some shine.  For me, this wasn't the case and it actually

had an almost matte finish.  Another thing I found with this lipstick is that it stains the outer edges of your lips making them look chapped.  Really all what I do is reapply it to make it not appear this way.  I will say that it takes awhile for it to actually wear of which is nice.

Overall I rate this product a 7.5 out of 10.  The main reasons why I don't rate it any higher is due to the misleading swatches LimeCrime has of the product.  Also because of the outer ring it leaves on the lips after awhile.

So that is it for this blog post!  If you guys have any questions, comments, or concerns leave me a comment.
